About

*TUTOR YEARS 1-12. WACE and Summer Sessions Available*

Hi! My name is Amy and I am studying Chemical Engineering and Management at the University of Western Australia. In year 12, I studied Math Specialist, Math Methods, English Literature, Chemistry, Human Biology, and Psychology at Woodvale Secondary College, achieving an ATAR of 98.8.

I am a friendly and experienced tutor (3 years of experience) who believes that everyone has the potential to succeed with a little confidence and some hard work. I will bring the fun to learning and engage students to ensure they create the best work possible, whatever the learning style. I utilise numerous different online and print based resources and organisation tools to ensure that students are kept organised and have everything they need to succeed.

I offer both one-on-one, and small group tutoring, so whether you learn best alone, or with some friends, I have an option for you.

I am a fun-loving, hardworking and friendly person with an unparalleled zest for life and love of learning. I am easygoing and approachable, and always endeavour to improve in everything I do.

I volunteer with Teach Learn Grow through the university, and volunteer as a mentor for teenagers with Down Syndrome through the Friends4Life program. I have experience working with students of many backgrounds, and abilities.

I am a Dux student with an ATAR of 98,8, and I have a strong list of achievements, the most notable of these including receiving the City of Joondalup Youth Citizenship Scholarship in 2016, my successful work experience for Trimble Navigation in Colorado, also in 2016, and being the RCS Speech and Leadership award winner in 2018. Also, I am a strong leader, having participated in the Amanda Young Leadership Camp. I was also a respected Prefect at the College. Currently, at the university, I work as the Communications Officer for the BPhil Union.

I have received numerous subject awards and a certificate of distinction in my WACE, as well as a respected Engineering scholarship for my University studies.

I have a strong appreciation for music; I play the flute and saxophone. I also have a passion for STEM classes, as I believe that they prepare students for the way of the future. I also love writing and reading.

I will always work at the highest quality to ensure that you or your child receives the most out of their tutoring as possible, and leave every session with a smile.

Contact me to discuss availability over the uni break.

Thank you.
