About

Hi, my name is Kyla, and I studied psychology at Macquarie University for two years and am now studying to become a high school English teacher. I have found that studying psychology, especially developmental and educational aspects of psychology really come in handy when trying to figure out the best way to assist learning for your child.

I graduated from Castle Hill High School in 2016 ranking 7th in English, 3rd in Community and Family Studies and 2nd in Hospitality. I studied Drama in years nine and ten and studied Japanese for 5 years (year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11). I have worked at Lollipops Playland Castle Hill for four and a half years and love the experience that I have gained and the skills that I have learnt when working with children.

I'm offering to tutor for years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 students who are struggling, want to get ahead in their studies, need help in a specific area, or are simply feeling lost in their studies overall. I also offer tutoring to students in primary school who want to get comfortable with a tutor before transitioning into the sometimes scary world of high school. I can assist with more than one subject in a session although no more than two as I would like to ensure that each subject gets a reasonable amount of the hour (unless the session lasts longer).

I will not only help you learn the content of your subjects but also assist in note taking, the ability to take effective study notes, study schedules and teach students how to clearly demonstrate their knowledge within exams. I can assist in essay writing, creative writing, assignments, homework, analysis, providing extensive and reliable comments.
