I would prefer to meet in public spaces such as local libraries or university facilities (North Terrace University of Adelaide 'Hub', Bar-Smith and Adelaide Libraries etc.), but can be flexible and arrange house-visits or other locations if that suits you better.
AboutHi! I’m Daniel, and I graduated from yr12 through the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma Program in 2017. I achieved an ATAR of 99.40 (IB score of 42/45) and am currently studying a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Adelaide, entering into my second year in 2019.
I would really love to help you achieve your best in your school academics! I would obviously be best suited to helping you through your year 11/12 IB journey (if that is what you are undertaking), but would also be happy and capable to help you with any SACE subjects similar to those I completed at school if that is your plan. (see my details for specific subjects)
I am also very happy to tutor students in year levels below yr11/12 in a range of subjects as needed, and have experience in tutoring this younger age-bracket. I would also be happy to tutor younger-grade Chinese (Mandarin) B.
I believe very strongly in a holistic approach to tutoring and secondary education; I believe that it is my job as a tutor to help you both (a) succeed in your academics, and (b) develop and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle that will prepare you well for a future of tertiary education and (eventual) life in the workforce. I will strive to help guide you through the immediate challenges of schooling life (assignments, exams, homework etc.), but will also endeavour to help you develop essential skills such as organisation, goal-setting, and motivation, all of which will serve you well in your immediate school-situation and beyond.
I have a current DCSI (Child Related Employment) clearance (valid until 09/21), a full Police Check, and have also completed Child Safe Environments training (11/18).
If you have any queries regarding my subjects, meeting arrangements, or anything else at all, please feel free to flick me an email or contact me via my details provided! (please do not use phone-call to contact me, as I am currently (and hopefully temporarily) experiencing some technical difficulties with my phone – text still works fine)
