Mr Zakary Jay NICHOLLS CertIVTAE DipGenStudSc BCom
I am a private mathematics academic with over a decade of experience in education and training, having taught hundreds of students over the years. I am very passionate about mathematics and take great pride in using my expertise to help students improve their academic performance.
I offer one-hour ($480/per term) and half-hour ($240/per term) term based lessons, I teach a large number of students each term (ranging from K-6, 7-10, Std1/Std2/Adv/Ex1/Ex2, and 1st/2nd/3rd year university algebra and calculus) and I typically have a limited number of lesson slots available, if you would like to arrange lessons please send me a message with the student’s year, the mathematics stream (if known), and the suburb where the lessons will take place and I’ll be in touch with suitable availabilities ASAP.
Mathematics is considered to be one of the most complex disciplines to learn, it is also one which arguably opens the greatest number of career opportunities for the skilled individual. As such, good performance in mathematics is necessary for a student to have access to the greatest number of career opportunities when the time comes.
Under my tutelage, students routinely show fantastic personal improvements in confidence, commitment to study, and mathematical competence, which is typically accompanied by improved results, students who commit to study, pay attention during lessons, and who are willing to put in the time and effort required typically see improvements of 10-20% in their marks, some particularly diligent students have seen grade improvements of up to 50% which is an absolutely amazing achievement.
It bring me great pride and happiness to have helped these young people achieve their best and help them on their journey to becoming successful individuals. I look forward to helping many more students achieve their best.

Zakary really seems to know a lot about maths, he is a family friend and offered to give me some general last minute help with preparing for a university algebra exam. He was really knowledgeable and helped me understand a few concepts I had really struggled with during the course. He works quite fast, but has really good ways of breaking difficult stuff down into easy to understand bits.
