Please only contact me if you are seeking Media tutoring*** I'm an experienced and dedicated teacher of English, Literature and Media Studies at Box Hill High School, where I've been employed since 2013. In this time, I've taught predominantly senior students, with a particular love and passion for Unit 3/4 Media. I have ample tutoring experience across each of my methods, especially in VCE English and Media. During this time, I have taught a wide variety of texts and adapted my focus for students' individual goals, needs and school approaches. My primary focus is on establishing rapport with my tutoring students, in order to be able to build confidence and self-esteem, which I believe is the key to success in VCE. I have worked with students with a range of learning needs (ADHD, ASD, APD and more) and comfortably differentiate my style of teaching for students in order to give them the support they need. As an experienced VCE Media Studies teacher, I have guided many students who have gone on to receive a study score of 50, have been an exam assessor for multiple years and write trial exams and revision content for independent assessment companies. I offer a high level of dedication to my tutoring students, making myself available to them by text and email for any questions they need answered or advice they may seek between tutoring sessions. I welcome the opportunity to give regular feedback directly to parents so they can remain involved with their child's learning. PLEASE NOTE: With young children of my own, I now operate primarily online using Google Chat Spaces to communicate with my students and meet with them. I am on maternity leave for the duration of 2024 so will be available for online sessions in the afternoon and evening.
