My name is Ramneek and I am a 2019 graduate from Girraween High School and currently studying a Bachelor of Science/Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at USYD, with a major in English & Biology. For my entire academic career, I have always been passionate about English and the sciences, as reflected in my marks and extra curricular involvement. Highlights include being a recent winner of the Whitlam's Institute's "WHAT MATTERS"? essay writing competition, a semi-state finalist in the PESA public speaking competition, a member of the USYD debating team and volunteering at STEM events for children at Macquarie University. I have scored 90th percentile in the 2020 UCAT & have received med/dent interview offers in 2020. Having recently sat the first HSC for the new syllabus, I am aware of all the nuances within both the English and Biology rubrics. As such I am able to offer extensive knowledge and insight derived from first-hand experience. Also, having tutored over 20 people in the past 3 years (from schools such as Hornsby Girls, Normanhurst Boys, Baulkham Hills, Penrith HS, Girraween HS, Cheltenham Girls, Burwood Girls & Macarthur girls), I have procured and refined many of my resources and have become adept at teaching in a specialised manner. The results of my students can attest to the quality of my tutoring, with many consistently achieving above 90% in their assessments. As further testament to the quality of my services, the majority of my 2020 HSC students ranked within the top percentile of their cohort, with one attaining first place. These students have also consistently obtained b6 results (17-20/20) for their trials examination, with all of them achieving full marks in section 1 paper 1. As a final ode to the quality of my services, the majority of my 2020 HSC students received a band 6 in English Advanced. One student in particular, achieved an astounding exam mark of 97/100 which was a significant improvement from their internal assessment score. In 2019 I ranked: - 2nd /140 for English Advanced 2019 (96) - 3rd /40 for English Extension 1 2019. For a year 11 student she is absolutely superb! I have previously sent my daughter in year 7 to her for a few weeks in preparation for a school entrance exam and have nothing but good feedback! My daughter tells me she came very well prepared with practice English exam papers and other resources she could use for preparation. All this tuition paid off with my daughter receiving top 10% in the Reading & Writing sections of the HAST exam!
