Complex numbers used to feel impossible. My teacherโs methods didnโt align with how I learned best, and I struggled to keep up. After my first Extension 2 Maths assessment, I was convinced Iโd have to drop the subject. My marks werenโt improving, and even my teacher doubted me.
That doubt drove me to work harder. I wanted to prove to myself and my teacher that I was capable. I studied relentlessly, practiced countless questions, and developed the creative mindset needed for Extension 2 Maths. Slowly but surely, I began to see progress.
By the time trials came around, complex numbers once my weakest topic, had become one of my biggest strengths. All the effort paid off, and I ended up ranking 3rd in a Maths Extension 1 assessment and 6th overall for the year.
Now, Iโm passionate about helping others discover their potential in maths and physics. No matter where youโre starting from, Iโll work with you to set achievable goals and help you improve your skills.

Amongst the state rankers in maths and science Iโm working with, we've achieved excellent results:

๐๐ฏ๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ. Most students who know content well still do poorly. Doing practice was my key to success as it helped me to recognise what concept to apply and where. You'll get exam styled questions every week.

I offer group (around 5) tutoring. My classes are small but I attend to individual needs. In class we go through the content that everyone needs - but after class, I'll be there to address your specific questions and needs. You'll also be able to ask me any questions during the week (between classes) too, via text/email/phone. I'll spend an hour with you if needed to help you understand something.
Why not give it a try? First lesson is only charged if you like it - it's free otherwise! There's no risk!

Yes, you're right. I've had to sit through terrible, useless online/group lessons too! But is it the setting - or the tutor, causing it to be bad?
Often students do get lost in group lessons. This happens when the tutor doesnโt care.
I ask every student questions during class โ so they pay attention.
I monitor every student to see if theyโre falling behind.
I help out 1-1, afterclass, through the week. I'll spend an hour with you if needed!
If you ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ง๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐ต๐ฆ๐ญ๐บ need a 1-1, or face to face setting, then you should hire someone else. But, is the setting more important to you, than your child getting an expert?
Thereโs a lot of tutors out there. But how many of them have topped NSW? Not all of them know chemical equilibrium and electromagnetism like I do. Or how to explain it to get the "Aha!" moment. Or why students lose marks. Or how to fix it. And that means they won't produce results, like helping Kirsten Chu, 2022, move from 56% to 91%.

No one wants to be in an environment where they're far behind everyone else. To help you judge if it's suitable, the average student we get comes in with marks at, or a bit below average. We get a mix of selective (NSB, NSG, Ruse), private (Scots, St Patricks, Meriden) and comprehensive high schools (Castle Hill, Carlingford HS).
We help them catchup by answering questions after class and providing support material for previous topics. In class when we go through a new topic, we will always explain it from scratch - so even if you have missed out on previous concepts, it won't stop you from getting the new ones.
Our group is run differently to most tutors. I am willing to spend 1-1 time with you. If you have questions โ you can ask me 1-1 after class! And throughout the week! Iโll spend an hour with you if you need it.
We start the lesson with a 10 min quiz. Then we go through a new concept and then do a few questions to solidfy it. Then we repeat this for the whole lesson. When exam time comes, we do revision lessons where a practice exam is sent before class, and the hard questions students request are reviewed in class.
