⭐⭐ ABOUT ME ⭐⭐
✨✨ Hi, I’m Dhomya, and I graduated from James Ruse Agricultural High School in 2024 and am currently a first-year medical student at UNSW. One of my most successful strategies I used in high school was teaching my peers content that they struggled with, and since then I have gained experience and am confident in being able to help students no matter their situation. ✨✨
⭐⭐MY TEACHING STYLE ⭐⭐
My teaching style is built on the foundation of understanding concepts holistically. I find that when students have someone to guide them and help them understand a subject, they start to appreciate it and become more self-motivated. This makes practice and homework feel less like a chore, and more akin to an enjoyable pastime or even a hobby.
I offer small group classes, as I believe for some students, this can encompass the best of both worlds. Not only do they get the personal attention offered in 1-on-1 classes, but they also benefit from the competitive aspect of group classes. I also do 1-on-1 tutoring as I recognise that each student has their own needs, and some value the personal attention offered in this environment.
For all my classes, I tailor both lesson content and homework to the needs of the students in the class. I also have an open line for students to contact me 24/7, since when was in school I used to hate it when tutors would not give additional support outside the classroom, as I believe home is where the majority of the improvement happens.
Over my years as a student and tutor, I have collated a vast number of resources and notes from schools, tutoring centres and textbooks, differentiating me from others. With me, you get the structure and resources of a coaching centre, but with content more personalised to your needs.

I teach the following subjects:
Year 12 - Mathematics Extension 2, Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Advanced, English Advanced, English Extension 1
Year 11 - Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Advanced, English Advanced, English Extension 1
Year 7/8/9/10 Junior Maths and English
I also mark English scripts (e.g. Essays or Narratives).
TRIAL CLASSES: For Maths Extension 1/2 private classes and small group classes (which include those for English), I also offer one trial class. If you do not wish to proceed after the trial, you will not have to pay.
Rate:
Small Group Classes: $50/hr.
Private Classes: Rate varies based on medium (in-person/online) and location.
⭐⭐ EXPERIENCE ⭐⭐
Hired by James Ruse Agricultural High School to teach a class of 15+ kids in Maths Enrichment. This included teaching out of syllabus content, pushing students to their potential.
Held a study group of 20+ kids from my cohort in James Ruse Agricultural High School for Year 12, planning lessons and designing homework for students who felt they needed extra help with in-syllabus Maths content.
Was a Mathematics Mentor at James Ruse Agricultural High School, helping kids who were behind in the cohort by answering questions and helping them in areas they felt weak at.
Have been a one-on-one tutor for 1 year (for HSC English and Maths), helping students improve and compete at the top of their cohort (including a student who is top 10 in Maths at James Ruse Agricultural High School, and who achieved top 10 in English Advanced).
Have worked at numerous coaching centres.
