In 2022 I completed a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney and I am currently completing a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame Sydney. Mentoring others is a passion of mine and I hope to continue this tradition well into the later years of my career as a doctor. 𝗠𝘆 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 Tutoring is pointless unless it leads to long-term improvement. While at school, I wished more teachers had focused on helping me understand rather than memorise concepts. Thus I believe my greatest strength is my ability to explain difficult, abstract concepts in a simple fashion. I also take a wholistic approach to tutoring by teaching study techniques alongside instilling in students the mindset and stress management tools that have helped me over the years. These skills set people up for a rewarding and productive life, which should ultimately be the aim of school in the first place! After tutoring many students, I've found that I work best with those who are driven and curious but aren't receiving appropriate guidance and encouragement in class. I push students to challenge themselves academically and to discover learning strategies that suit their strengths. As someone who was often too hard on myself, I aim to help my students acknowledge the limitations of being human and to build a resilience towards academic setbacks, allowing them to move forwards with confidence.
