99.5 ATAR | 95 Eng Adv. | Band 6 All Subjects | All Rounder Award Hi! My name is Leki and I would love to help your English. I graduated from Abbotsleigh High School in 2021 with a 99.5 ATAR and band 6 in all my HSC subjects English Adv, Maths ext 1 & 2, Chem, Biology and Economics. I am currently studying law and commerce at USYD. EXPERIENCE: Having four years of teaching experience in total, with one year teaching high school English at a prestigious, North Shore coaching school and private English tutoring, the positive improvements in my students’ school results are a testament to my dedication to challenging students, helping them achieve better marks and reaching their full potential. TEACHING STYLE: I am passionate about English and seeing my students improve by aiming to spark the same passion in them. I aim to make my lessons fun and interesting as I believe this allows them to fully engage and grapple with the material. Furthermore, I SPECIALISE the learning experience to each student with a greater emphasis on PRACTICE and ACTIVE LEARNING so they can confidently approach a variety of challenging English exam questions with ease and comfortably write different text types. I also equip students with unique exam techniques to approach difficult English exam questions that took me YEARS to develop and understand. LESSON DETAILS: I am happy to mark any essays or writing pieces and provide in depth feedback that is guaranteed to push their writing up to its full potential. Furthermore, I have extensive resources such as unseen text practice, essay writing stimuli and past papers as well as lots of analysis from English syllabus texts to use for in class and homework practice. I aim to target the deficits in students’ knowledge to really bridge the gap between achieving an average mark and a band 6. I am only teaching online and currently taking in Yr7-12 students.
