About

Hi! My name is Sarah and I am a third year University student studying Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts at Monash University. I completed my VCE in 2021 at Korowa Anglican Girls School with an ATAR of 99.00. I was awarded Year 12 Prizes for Excellence in Languages for both French and German. I was Dux of Year 11 and have consistently received Academic Awards throughout the entirety of my school years. I am a passionate learner with a love for sharing my knowledge with both peers and younger students! I have always loved to read. I particularly enjoy creative writing as well as analysing and evaluating texts. My proficiency in these skills was reflected in both VCE English (48) and History Revolutions (42). These skills continue to be enhanced in my study of Law at University. I also love both French and German, having studied German for 16 years and French since Year 9. I am fluent in both languages. I have continued to study French at University as a major in my Arts Degree. I would really like to share with you study skills that have helped me succeed and achieve my goals. In our tutoring sessions, the focus is on you and your academic needs. I can help you navigate through your current schoolwork whilst providing extra resources and materials that could be helpful to you. In English, with the new syllabus, I can help you analyse, evaluate and craft creative ideas from mentor texts. I can also help you prepare for oral presentations as I have strong public speaking skills having had the benefit of many years of Speech and Drama lessons in which I consistently won the highest marks each year. For French and German, I can offer invaluable tips and guidance in essay-writing skills as well as techniques that have enabled me to excel. Having recently completed my VCE studies in these languages, I am very familiar with the processes of both oral and written components. Our sessions will focus on a balance of oral, essay-writing and comprehension skills, tailoring them according to your particular needs. In addition to tutoring high school students, I also love to conduct sessions with younger students from Years 5 and 6, aiming to support them in an engaging manner and inspire in them a passion for learning. To date, I have successfully tutored younger students in English, French and German. I am a very friendly, approachable and patient person with a love for helping others to achieve their personal best. I love getting to know my students and will always do my best to answer your questions and help you reach your full potential. I conduct sessions either at my house (Malvern East) or online via Zoom. I am currently available to tutor on weekdays, in the evenings and on weekends. I am always happy to answer any queries that you might have and would be more than happy to accommodate you in the best way possible. I would love to hear from you!
