I offer tutoring for ATAR Methods, Modern History, Literature, Physics and Psychology, as well as primary or high school level maths or English. Lessons will be held at my address or I am able to travel to the home or other location of choice of the student provided it is within a half hour drive from my address. Lessons for ATAR subjects will cost $65 if I have to travel and $60 if student comes to me, for grade 7-10 maths or English $60 if travelling, otherwise $55 and for primary school maths or English $55 if I travel, or $50 if I don't. Sessions are typically one hour per week for one subject, although this is flexible depending on what the student wants. Students can either provide their own work which I would help them through for the hour, hence guiding the session themselves, or if they would prefer they can tell me the topic they are covering that week and I will provide worksheets and examples to work through. Through tutoring at Kumon for 4 years and privately for 2, I have found that both work, depending on what the student wants to get out of it. I am a university student completing a Bachelor of Philosophy, majoring in Literature and Ancient history at the University of Western Australia. This year I will be completing my Honours in creative writing with a focus on representations of autistic people in prose fiction. I completed ATAR methods (final mark, 91.3), literature (85.1), modern history (90.9), psychology (91.5), physics (86.3) and human biology (81.3), and got an ATAR of 99.55, a certificate of excellence in ATAR Psychology and a general exhibition ranking of 28th.
