99.05 ATAR + Bachelor's Degree in Maths, currently studying Maths Honours at ANU. Hi, I'm Tom, I'm a uni student helping high schoolers achieve their best. As a former high school student myself, I understand the struggles achieving well and the pressures put on students by their peers, teachers and schools. I've been tutoring for over 2 years and have seen great improvements in the confidence and understanding of my students. I completed VCE in 2020, achieving: - 36 (scaled to 47.5) in VCE Specialist Maths - 44 (scaled to 48) in VCE Mathematical Methods - 46 (scaled to 47.5) in VCE Physics - 36 (scaled to 46) in VCE French - 44 (scaled to 46) in VCE Economics (Victorian study scores are out of 50). I achieved a perfect 50 in the Maths/Science section of the 2020 GAT. I have completed a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences at ANU, with a 6.7 GPA out of a possible 7.0. I'm currently enrolled in my Honours year for 2024. What I can best offer to high school students is a relaxed and friendly approach to tutoring. I am well aware of the parts of the high school curriculum which, if explained poorly by teachers, can sometimes lead to confusion for students. My continued study of maths and physics means that I understand the high school content even more, improving my ability to explain concepts in a way that is easier to understand than the textbook. I'm happy to tutor online or in person anywhere on the ANU campus or nearby. Unfortunately I don't have my own vehicle and so can only travel elsewhere if it is accessible via public transport. My schedule is fairly flexible, so message me letting me know what times work for you and we can arrange from there.
