Hey there!
My name is Derek and I graduated from Mansfield State High School in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.90, placing me within the top 60 students in Queensland. I am currently studying in my first year of Medicine at Griffith University, having completed a Bachelor of Medical Science with a GPA of 7.0.
My results from grade 12 were;
Biology – 95%
Chemistry – 96%
English – 95%
Mathematical Methods – 96%
Physics – 99%
Specialist Mathematics – 96%
With over 2 years of tutoring experience, I have a strong passion in ensuring that students understand the explanations and concepts that underpin the content, and not just the surface-level information. I prioritise building connections with students and creating a safe and comfortable environment in which students are confident in their own abilities and are not afraid to ask questions. I am more than happy to help with homework, assignments, content comprehension, exam preparation, and everything in between.
As a graduate of the new ATAR and QCE system, I have first-hand experience and understanding of the assessment requirements and syllabus content.
