**99.85 ATAR** **ANU Science/Law Student** **Online Tutoring Available** Hi, my name is James and I am currently a fourth year student at the ANU studying a double degree Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Science. I was ranked 14th overall out of 184 in my 2020 graduating cohort of Sydney Grammar School. High school, and particularly the HSC, can pose incredibly difficult and seemingly insurmountable challenges. As a tutor, I am committed to working with each and every one of my students to develop individually tailored strategies to minimise hardship and maximise chances of success. These strategies involve advice both on how to approach the content of the subject and deal with tricky questions as well as tips on how to maximise the effectiveness of study and preparation. I have studied both humanities and STEM subjects at an advanced level and have developed routines that synthesise skills that I have learnt in both disciplines into an approach that has allowed me to continually achieve success. These are the ideas and concepts that I seek to pass on as a tutor, which will enable you to improve the efficiency of your approach to study. Additionally, I was a member of the Senior A GPS Debating Premiership winning team in 2019, and was ranked in the top 28 debaters in NSW in 2020. I have adjudicated multiple schools debating competitions including ISDA and Archdale, so I know what adjudicators are really looking for when awarding a debate. As a debating tutor, I seek to share this hard-won knowledge with my tutees, improving not only their debating skills, but also their confidence as a speaker and ability to work under pressure.
