99.95 ATAR | STEM Tutor | Hello, I'm Rosie! I am a fourth-year honours student at the ANU, studying theoretical physics and mathematics. I graduated in 2019 with an ATAR of 99.95, dux of the ACT. During year 11 and 12, I completed a double major in Specialist Mathematics, majors in Physics, Chemistry and Literature, and a Minor in ANU Extension Physics. As much as I love learning, I also am passionate about teaching. I strive to impart a deep, conceptual understanding of content, whilst developing technical skills. I emphasise the fundamentals, the 'why' behind the fact or formula. I am comfortable tutoring all levels of maths, and can tutor physics and chemistry.
I have five years of tutoring experience, having taught at various physics summer schools, science summer schools, university tutoring, and privately. One of my key strengths is patience, and an understanding that some subjects can be a struggle in the classroom. I aim to create a safe environment, where no question is a silly question. My tutoring is tailored to the student's learning style. I also love giving my tips and tricks that I have accumulated over my schooling - whether this be exam technique, or a quick maths hack!
LOCATIONS AND COST
I am willing to do home visits to students in North Canberra. I charge $60/hr for individual tutoring, and can do group tutoring (with discounts) if desired. I am very flexible, so please contact me to discuss a schedule which works for you.
I am also happy to do holiday tutoring to get ready for the year ahead!
