I am an academic researcher and tutor who has recently been awarded a PhD. I am offering teaching and tutoring work in English, Literature, Media, History, Philosophy, Sociology, and Psychology.

My postgraduate studies have provided me with a strong comprehension of film and media theory, literary and textual analysis, philosophical inquiry, and advanced research skills. I have presented my work at various national and international conferences, and published articles in academic journals. I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), with research theses in cinematic representations of urban spaces and postmodern theory in speculative fiction. My work is interdisciplinary and frequently incorporates psychological, sociological and historical theories and frameworks.

As a library officer, I regularly instruct members of the public in various technical and research skills. I have designed and run several library programs focusing on multimedia and communications, introducing participants to key concepts of film theory, film history and moderating various media discussions. I am passionate about the development of analytical and persuasive writing skills and participate in a weekly postgraduate writing group where researchers share and review each other’s work. I also participate in a weekly philosophical reading group, where we parse key texts and debate their meaning and application. I am on the steering committee of the Federation University Philosophy Symposium, which hosts an annual forum for philosophy students and lecturers to present and defend their current research. I am a strong public speaker, with a background in debating, and enjoy engaging with public and academic audiences to facilitate critical discussions and insights.
