About

Hi! I'm Angus I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Information Technology at Macquarie University where I am also a university tutor for COMP1000, teaching foundational coding knowledge and application. I aim to provide the same level of dedication and interest to my students as I do within my university classroom! I graduated from Bishop Druitt College in 2020 with an ATAR of 95.65. 95.65 - ATAR 96 B6 - Maths Adv 96 E4 - Maths X1 93 E4 - Maths X2 91 B6 - Physics 94 B6 - SDD In tutorials we will focus on your coursework needs, identifying any gaps you may require assistance with and exam preparation and technique. In Mathematics we will focus on understanding concepts and finding patterns to understand what techniques and methods are best to use in your exams. Improving problem solving skills and pattern analysis will be the core parts to my tutorials. In Software we will focus on the content that is important to understand for your exams in a concise way with examples. In the SDD course we will focus on the interrelationship between software and hardware elective, to understand the skills involved in the questions asked for this elective. I have always enjoyed teaching and seeing others learn, so I will do my utmost to ensure that you get the most out of your time with me. I will always do my best to answer any questions you may have in or out of tutorial times. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

It has been a great pleasure to teach Angus as a student at Bishop Druitt College. He is a mature and polite young man who has demonstrated integrity in his approach to all aspects of his schooling. Angus approached his studies with enthusiasm and maturity. He has a natural aptitude for logic and higher order programming concepts. He was able to work autonomously and he could use his initiative to research and implement code in unfamiliar circumstances. Angus worked diligently and applied himself with sustained effort. This was evident in his outstanding results throughout the Software Design and Development course but particularly prominent in his HSC major software project. Angus' opinions in class discussions were always measured and well considered. Despite his high academic ability, he remained humble and always had time to help explain concepts to others in the class (including the teacher). I have no hesitation in recommending Angus as a tutor.

Angus is an excellent tutor and I would highly recommend him to any students who would like to do well. Angus has an excellent understanding of mathematics and physics and computers. He is able explain new concepts and break them down catering to individual student needs. Angus is patient and understanding and would make an excellent tutor at all levels especially at hsc level as he has been there and knows exactly what is takes to succeed.
