99.90 ATAR | 99 3U Maths | 98 4U Maths | Hi, my name is Louis Goldsmith. I graduated in 2020 from Sydney Grammar School with an ATAR of 99.90 and am currently studying Medicine at UNSW. I am offering tutoring services for various high school subjects, including year 11/HSC Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, Physics and Chemistry. My sessions follow a two-step approach designed to maximise your chance of success. I followed this very same approach during my HSC, rewarding me with strong results in all my subjects: Mathematics Extension 1 - 99, Mathematics Extension 2 - 98, Physics - 97, Chemistry - 97, French Continuers - 97, French Extension - 46/50 Firstly, we will familiarise ourselves with the relevant theory, making sure that we have an intuitive understanding of the concepts we are learning. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions about any topics which you find a bit tricky and to review material from earlier in the year. Once we have covered this important base, we can move on to step two: practise practise practise! I have access to many resources such as past exam papers and other questions, which we will use to reinforce the theory we have been studying. These resources will also allow us to hone exam technique, an oft-neglected aspect of exam preparation. You might be perfectly familiar with the theory for a subject, but silly mistakes and poor time management could cost you 10-12 marks in an exam (if not more). Through practice under my supervision, such problems can be identified and rectified, allowing you to achieve your true potential. As your tutor, I will seek to assist you throughout the week, outside our formal sessions. If you wish, I will mark and give feedback for written practice responses. I will also happily receive and quickly respond to any queries or questions you have, and write and send you solutions to problems you may be stuck on. I have tutored 15+ clients since commencing in 2018. My clients have ranged from 5 to 19 years old. I have previously tutored Maths (year 7, year 8, year 10, year 11 advanced, year 11 extension 1, year 12 extension 1, year 12 extension 2), physics (year 11 and year 12), chemistry (year 11 and year 12), as well as general years 7-10 science.
