ACCEPTING NEW STUDENTS FOR 2024 || 99.80 ATAR || RAW 50 English, RAW 44 Methods, RAW 50 PE and RAW 46 Economics tutoring Hi there! My name is Matt and in 2024 I will be in my 4th year studying Medicine at Monash University. I graduated from St Kevin’s College in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.80. I am offering personalised, experienced and committed tutoring services in 2024 predominantly for VCE English and Maths Methods, but also for VCE Economics, VCE PE and Years 7-10 English and Math. I can also help with preparation for medical school applications (UCAT (91st percentile) and interview prep). In 2021 and 2022, I had over 600 hours of private tutoring experience. I was also hired by St Kevin's College as a tutor throughout 2021, delivering English and Economics lectures for the year 12 cohort and supervising study areas. I also co-wrote a PE 3/4 Study Guide published by VCEWeb in 2021. I achieved raw study scores of: - 50 English 📚 (Scaled 50.00) - 46 Economics 📈 (Scaled 46.92) - 44 Math Methods 🗿(Scaled 47.97) - 50 Physical Education 👣 (Scaled 50.00) - 37 Specialist Maths (Scaled 48.40) -39 Chemistry (Scaled 42.88) Having recently completed year 12 in a global pandemic, I understand what a challenging year it can be. I feel so fortunate to have been so well guided by so many people throughout my VCE experience and would love to be there for you, not only in teaching the actual content but also in being a friend to support you throughout the year. **ENGLISH** 📚 Text-wise for English, I studied a vast range of novels, poems, films, and plays, including Pride and Prejudice, Wordsworth’s Poems, Stasiland and Never Let Me Go, The Queen and Ransom, Rear Window, The Longest Memory, Black Diggers, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Christmas Carol, Lord of the Flies and others through high school, but I would happy to help students with any other texts. I can also provide a lot of advice and feedback for the Argument and Language Analysis task. My sessions can range from structured lessons/tutorials, essay feedback or discussion based lessons where I aim to foster and inspire original ideas and interpretations from students- whatever you want! The only part of the English course that was cut in 2020 was the minor oral task (not relevant to the end of year exam), but, through my experience in DAV debating, i can provide some advice here. If tutoring is not your thing, I am selling essays/notes for Pride and Prejudice, Wordsworth's poems (creative task), Stasiland and NLMG, The Queen and Ransom, and, Argument and Language Analysis (PM me for more details or samples!). **Methods** I did Methods twice, achieving a 38 in 2019 and thought I may as well have another crack at it the next year. This means I have knowledge of the full Methods course (which was cut in 2020). This also means this is a subject where I have really challenged my weaknesses and strived to improve and engage with for a long time. My knowledge of Specialist Maths (Scaled 48.40) also has enriched the depth of my understanding of maths methods. I am available for a weekly, casual or intensive basis.
