No student likes a teacher who reads off Powerpoint and textbooks. Students need condensed and precise material that is beneficial for their life-long studying as well as school examinations. Saying this, since I have been through extreme ups and downs along my academic journey, I am more than well equipped to help students overcome challenges and difficulties in staying motivated to study. Over the years, I have tried many different studying techniques that I cannot wait to share with students of my own! I break down the syllabus of the subject, and identify the weaknesses and strengths of the student to improve with a specific target. Instead of using a set lesson structure, I alter each lesson depending on how the student is progressing in their understanding. So, I accordingly allocate time periods for teaching, discussing, clarification/questioning & testing for understanding. These critical interactions with the student will allow me to grow their knowledge and skills and hopefully ensure measurable improvements for them within the subject. I will share with you cheatsheets, several resources, tools to accelerate you to success. One of my students topped the cohort in Biology HL. I have had students improve from grade 4to6 (7 highest) in one month, and a grade 2 (fail) to 4 (pass) in one month, as well as an average 40-60% improvements in ATAR/IB Biology, Psychology, Mandarin and Visual Arts.
