About
Hi! My name is Hattie, and I’m currently studying nursing at the University of Queensland as a pathway into medicine. I graduated from St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School in 2020, going through the ATAR system and receiving an op 1 equivalent. In senior, I studied Biology, Chemistry, Mathematical Methods, Literature, Modern History and Japanese.
When I went through the ATAR system myself, I worked hard to grasp the new structure and format of assessment, and developed an understanding of what exactly the assignments are asking of you. In doing so, I graduating with the highest gpa for all internal assessment. I learnt how to effectively study for external exams, and to cope with the stress of highly weighted assessment.
After assisting my primary school aged brother and sister over the years, and tutoring my highschool friends, I have learnt patience (my little sister is very good at getting distracted), and an understanding that each student learns differently. I hope to adapt my teaching for each unique student to best help them reach their academic goals.
I’m happy to assist Yr 7 to 12 students with their understanding of the content of their subjects by providing sessions at a library near you, or a home visit. I can also edit assignments and provide feedback over email (:
Considering the current times, I’m also happy to do online sessions through Skype or Zoom for $35/hour.
