Over 25 years experienced tutor for HSC. I am available pretty much all days after school and weekends. I prefer to teach years 11 and 12, although I will take bright year 10 students. I teach because I love teaching and seeing kids progress in their studies, hopefully to a level to get them to a high ATAR.
I usually offer my own printed notes and questions for each lesson. Most yr 10 and 11 sessions are for 1 hour while yr 12 sessions run for 1 and half hours. Being a science nerd, my best subjects are Chemistry, Maths and Physics.
I was employed at UNSW for 10 years on the teaching staff, often taking 10-16 students in tuition sessions for BSc and MSc students. I left the uni for a quieter life then branched out on my own in 1998 as a home tutor (1 on 1) to high school up to HSC level in Maths, Science, Chemistry and Physics. I was also employed for 16 years at a private tuition centre in Hurstville for 7-9 hours a week of class teaching from Years 7-12 in Science and Maths.
I have a current WCC Certificate.
Achievements
- In 2013 one of my tuition students topped the state in the HSC Physics exam, so I must be doing something right
