Math Tutor in Victoria // 6+ Years, 1040+ Hours of Experience ||

Hi, I am Julia!

I am currently completing an honours degree in neuropsychiatry. Recently graduated from Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. I have graduated from Nossal High School as one of the top VCE scorers.

I tutored mathematics for approximately six years, beginning in 2014. My journey as a mathematics tutor began at Nossal High School when I tutored my peers and younger students.

Since then, I have been tutoring high school maths! I have completed all the VCE Mathematics subjects with high scores (all above a raw 40 study score). I received a score of raw 48 in Specialist Math.

I can speak English and Korean. I like to make my lesson tailored to the student's needs, allowing the student to achieve their best. For this reason, we will begin by discussing how you like to learn, and determine how we can tailor the sessions to your individual needs.

For the time being, I would only be accepting online students, but I am also happy to discuss in-person tutoring sessions when the virus situation dies down.

Am happy to tutor students of all ages, from primary school kids to VCE students.

Primary school tutoring: $40/hr
Secondary school tutoring: $50/hr
VCE tutoring: $55/hr (minimum an hour and 30 minutes).

Julia tutored me back in 2017 for methods 3/4. She is a caring and devoted tutor, who motivated me to study harder and achieve better math scores in SACs and ultimately a good study score. She is not only a great math tutor, but a great VCE mentor. She understands the struggles of VCE and talks you through how to approach VCE in a systematic way. Overall, tutoring with Julia was a pleasant experience.

Julia has been tutoring me in Specialist maths 1/2 from the start of last year, and so far it has been extremely good. She is caters well for time and is flexible in when she is available. Julia is very knowledgeable in maths and is able to help me with a variety of work, she also provides me questions to revise with which allows me to revisit topics and stop repeating mistakes. During quarantine we have been doing classes through zoom, although it is not the typical face to face she makes sure working on zoom is just as effective. Love being tutored by her!

She is also an honest person therefore, you can always trust Julia's words. These characteristics make her into an amazing tutor who always reflects on how to make her lessons better for the student.
