I specialise in Maths and Physics, tutoring all levels of college maths (including specialist maths options and specialist methods core) as well as physics. I am currently studying to become a professor in Mathematics at the ANU. Apart from private tutoring, I am employed by a school in the ACT to provide tutoring in a professional setting.
I'm Jerry Mahajan, I have always performed exceptionally in School, and received an ATAR of 99.50. I graduated from Burgmann Anglican School in Gungahlin, so I am highly knowledgeable about the BSSS system (and how to maximise your year 11 and 12 scores!).
I am currently enrolled at ANU, studying a PhB research degree in pure mathematics, looking to become a professor in the subject. I strongly believe that students must understand content matter, rather than merely memorise formulas and follow procedures. It is the conceptual understanding that differentiates a high achieving student from a rank 1 student. My goal is to help all students reach the top of their class and go beyond their initial expectations.

The number one way to improve your grades is to get ahead, far too many students fall behind in class and cannot understand content, putting them at a severe disadvantage. With my holiday preparation classes, students get ahead and stay ahead.
I love mathematics and physics and wish to spend my life pursuing them, I have tutored for more than 3 years now (wow, it goes by so quick!) with 20+ students. To achieve a high ATAR, students need to not only work hard but work smart. I provide my students with the resources and guidance required to achieve this. I have an arsenal of practice tests and resources from a variety of schools including Narrabundah, Radford, Burgmann, Hawker College and Dickson College. These resources are invaluable and I have seen students' grades improve drastically after preparation with my resources.
The jump from year 10 to year 11 is immense, after I realised the proper strategies for college, my maths rank improved by 17 ranks to 1st place and my z scores went from 0 to 2 z scores consistently. During my tutoring class, I help my students not only with content, but to plan out their workload and to stay on top during college.
