99.65 ATAR (Student - 3350) and 99th Percentile UCAT Tutoring , HSC (Phys, Chem, Math) GREAT STUDENT UCAT SCORE of 3350 in 2023! Hi - I’m Brendan! I am currently studying medicine at WSU after achieving a 99th percentile score in UCAT and an ATAR of 99.65 in 2019. I have been teaching UCAT since its inception and hence you will not find someone with more experience with it than me - in the last four years I have taught over 200 students, with the majority of them scoring above the 90th percentile with scores between and gaining entry into their dream medical and dental schools all over Australia. As part of the first cohort that experienced the UCAT (replacing UMAT) , and new HSC syllabus in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics - there is no one more qualified than me to help guide you through these challenging assessments and help you reach your goals. Currently, I teach UCAT, preliminary and HSC Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. I have extensive experience teaching these subjects both at a tutoring college and privately over the past three and a half years - with a couple of my students holding top ranks in Chemistry and Mathematics within their schools. I also have a Working with Children’s Check that can be presented upon request. Regarding my marks in high school: Internally in Baulkham Hills High School - 2nd in Extension 1 Mathematics 3rd in Chemistry For the HSC - 96 in Extension 2 Mathematics 99 in Extension 1 Mathematics 97 in Chemistry 92 in Physics UCAT - 99th percentile (raw score of 3160). I prefer to learn via understanding rather than memorisation, and feel that truly immersing yourself within a subject is not only the most enjoyable way to learn, but provides the best results. This is a mindset I try to bring to my students, and there is nothing more satisfying than seeing a difficult to understand concept finally click in one of my students’ minds. Everyone learns differently and I tailor my teaching style to every individual student to help them achieve their goals. My lessons normally run for two hours weekly, and I will provide workbooks with all the knowledge you will need for HSC subjects that follow each syllabus dot point closely. I also provide compilations of past HSC questions with worked solutions, and digital flashcards to aid in learning difficult bits of content. For UCAT, the beginning lessons are introductory sessions where we go through what techniques to use, what tricks question writers employ, and how to approach the UCAT and each section overall. After that, I run a series of mini mock tests to hone the skills I have taught. I am also always free to answer any questions or queries about schoolwork my students have via text or call, free of charge. Currently, I only offer online tutoring via Zoom.
