Hi there! I'm Grace, and I'm a graduate from the University of Wollongong with Class 1 Honours. I am about to start a career in academia, and part of my love of teaching is being able to help primary, high school and university students to achieve their best results in their schooling.
I’ve been a private tutor for over 4 years, and I love working with students to find the best strategies that work for them. Doing well in school is not just about studying and working hard, but it's also about finding ways to cope with stress and figuring out what works best for you. It's my job to support students to manage their studies and maintain good practises that will help them in the long run.
I specialise in all English subjects, as well as Modern History, Society and Culture, Visual Arts, and Drama. I also have excellent essay writing skills and so can help students in other subjects looking to improve their writing generally.
I have also worked as an au pair in the past and so have experience working with very young children. My youngest student was in Year 4, but I have worked with kids as young as 2 years old.
I understand that it can be quite nerve-wracking working with a new tutor, and so usually dedicate my first lesson to getting to know the student and their parents, identify their problem areas and stresses in school, and work to get them feeling more confident in working with me going forward.
I am working to become a theatre academic, so drama and live performance are my passions. I have also been a performer from a very age. I love reading, writing and drawing.
Please contact me if you have any questions about my availabilities or subjects.
I can also provide student and parent references upon request.
Thanks for stopping by!

Grace tutored my daughter through Years 11 and 12 in English and Drama. She was extremely patient and kind, and my daughter responded very well to her tutoring methods. Grace was always well prepared and on time for her lessons, and I felt very comfortable and safe with her. My daughter got 95.7 in her HSC, and excelled in English and Drama. Grace also helped my daughter with creative writing, and her play featured in OnStage, the annual presentation and exhibition of group and individual performances and projects by HSC Drama students. Grace was a major part of my daughter's success in the HSC and I highly recommend her to any parent seeking tutoring help in English and Drama.
