About

ONLINE SESSIONS ONLY I'm a 2019 Christ Church Grammar School Graduate, finishing with an ATAR of 99.60 and a General Exhibition. I graduated as top of Modern History and Politics and Law, second in Literature and in the top 10 for Chemistry. I am currently studying a Juris Doctor law degree and have recently completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Political Science/International Relations. I've got 4 years of tutoring at both high school and university level across a wide variety of subjects and skill levels - I've carefully honed my tutoring style and have collated a significant number of resources to assist students. I'm goal-oriented - my tutoring is always adapted to the specific goals of students, whether it be pushing up from a B to an A or just staying engaged with the schooling system. My scaled scores are as follows: Politics and Law: 94.7 Chemistry: 93.4 Literature: 91.5 Modern History: 86.4 Mathematics Methods: 83.5 I specialise in tutoring Literature, Politics and Law, Modern History, Mathematics Methods and Chemistry, as well as lower school English and Maths. I am a firm believer in the importance of hard work and study, and attribute much of my success to my being able to learn and use key study skills early in my secondary education. As well as this, I aim to instill a healthy and holistic approach to schooling in my students - I believe that co-curricular activities such as debating and mock United Nations, hobbies such as reading and sports and music are all important and useful for any students. Whilst I think that tutoring based on current need is essential - essay marking/feedback, explanation of concepts and model answers among others - I also aim to set up my students for long-term success: study skills, writing skills and effective time management. I also offer marking services for $30 - if full sessions aren't of interest, I offer marking of tests, essays, source analyses, short answers and provide crucial in-depth feedback which teachers sometimes lack the time to give. If there's something else specific that you/your child needs as a service, get in touch and we can discuss how that might look.
