As an experienced tutor, I know exactly how to support you to help you do your best. I graduated high school in 2019, with an ATAR of 99.30. But it’s not only my own study experience that helps me teach students how to succeed in their exams - I also have over three years tutoring experience, both privately and for professional tutoring businesses, and I have tutored for the Australian International Junior Science Olympiads.
I specialise in study coaching and tutoring for Chemistry (all year levels) and Maths (Year 10 and below). I highly recommend group sessions, not only because it is better value for you, but also because students benefit from peer motivation. My rates are $60 per hour for one-on-one tutoring, $40 per person per hour for two person groups, and $30 per person per hour for three person groups.
Currently, I'm studying a PhB of Science at ANU (a prestigious research-based undergraduate degree), with a working GPA of 6.91 and HDs in Algebra and Calculus Methods, Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, and Chemical Biology. I completed high school in Victoria in 2019, scoring in the top 2% of the state in Chemistry, and the top 9% of the state in Mathematics.
I think it’s important to ensure that students fully understand the content they are learning, and so I like to focus on breaking down complicated topics. However having managed to balance studying, extracurricular activities, and my social life throughout high school, I’m keen to convey the message that while hard work is ultimately the only guarantee that you will do well, it’s important to look after yourself as well. I believe that caring for one’s mental and physical health is integral to succeeding at school, rather than rote learning, cramming, and excessive focus on scores.
