🌺🌼 ENGLISH LANGUAGE (49) & MATHS METHODS (46) TUTORING🌼🌺 Hi there! My name is Samantha and I graduated from The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School in 2019 with an ATAR of 99.60. I am currently offering limited VCE 3/4 tutoring in English Language and Methods. My rates are: Individual - $60 Groups - $40 per person I aim to keep my group classes small (no more than 3 students per class) to ensure I can provide everyone with as much attention as needed! Furthermore, as a current medical student (MD) studying at Monash University, I'd be happy to provide any general advice on entry into med, UCAT and preparing for the interview to all my students who are interested in pursuing this degree! I thoroughly enjoyed learning these subjects as a student and as your tutor, I hope to be able to transfer these understandings to you to help you achieve your academic goals! Although these subjects can be quite content-heavy at times, I believe adopting the right learning styles and study techniques are key to achieving highly in them - skills that I aim to provide as we cover the content for the year. As someone who did not undertake tutoring for Methods during my studies, I champion understanding and breaking down content into digestible and applicable concepts over the volume of practice. As a tutor, I've worked even harder to dive deeper into each concept to translate understandings to my students that go beyond the SACs and exams! Methods was definitely a big journey that I could not have accomplished as well without Sam! - 2022 Methods 3/4 student - Sam is an incredible tutor who is very capable of breaking down more complex methods concepts so that it is more digestible and easier to grasp (better than most maths teachers I’ve had honestly). She really advocates for the basic understanding of the relevant theory behind the different area of studies which creates a strong foundation that really helps later on when you’re doing more application-based exam questions. Sam also quickly adapts to the strengths and weaknesses of her students and is very prompt with her (very long and thorough!!) responses to your questions. You’re constantly getting exposed to exam-style questions with her so nothing comes as too much of a surprise during exam practise.
