Hi, I'm Evan. I'm a Melbourne University student, who graduated from Darwin High School in 2018 with an ATAR of 98.60. I can tutor English, History, and
Indonesian for VCE, and would also be available over Zoom for anyone doing those subjects in SACE, the NTCET, HSC, or any other Australian high school curriculum in 2020/2021. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Politics and Linguistics, in addition to a Diploma in Languages in Indonesian. My best subject in year 12 was English Literary Studies, for which I received a score of 19.40 and an A+ Merit.

I'll do my best to be on top of the coursework for whichever certificate you're doing. This site only lets me list VCE and IB subjects because I'm living in Victoria, but I'm open to doing SACE subjects, HSC, or whichever state/territory curriculum you might be doing. Obviously given the current situation with Covid-19 I'll be doing online tutoring, but that just means I can tutor students from any place in the country as is convenient.
I'm committed to providing the very best to students studying the humanities by providing them with a nuanced understanding of the theory underlying their relevant discipline. I prioritise an understanding of texts, theory, and fundamental concepts in my teaching style, as I believe this is the best approach to prepare students for studying the humanities at a tertiary level. I can help as a tutor by reading the texts students are studying and helping them understand how to critically analyse their features.

As a university student, I have relatively flexible hours, and am available via Zoom most afternoons.
