Samuel D. Very responsive
Tutoring near Caloundra QLD

About

Hi, I’m Samuel - I work with students to achieve their goals. I first started tutoring in 2017 with the intention of passing on study skills that worked for me, and have since learned that attitude is an equally important element to success. As a result, I continue to work with students on the foundational study skills, relevant subject material, requirements to meet and exceed marking criteria, while focusing in equal part on directing the student to align their interests and pursuits with the subjects they are studying. You will see from our initial session my focus is building a strong rapport by fostering an environment that encourages growth, rewards curiosity, and promotes a love of learning. For background, I graduated high school in 2019 as a prefect, debating captain, and language ambassador with an equivalent 98 ATAR including very high achievements in English and English Extension, and perfect results in two other subjects. While I thoroughly enjoyed the subjects I studied, personal challenges in my final years of schooling made it increasingly difficult to find the motivation to study. Regardless of whether you are in a similar situation, I want to help guide you in your studies and enable you to achieve to the best of your abilities. ‍ Before commencing studies at University, I had the opportunity to build on my existing experience as a tutor and worked to assist students with studying english, foreign languages, and social sciences. This included roles in several prominent schools, and as part of Duolingo’s language classes programme. Today I tutor from primary up to a second year undergraduate level, and continue to tailor programmes and assistance to a variety of students’ needs. ‍ I am now overseas studying a Double Degree in English and French Law at the University of Paris 1: Panthéon-Sorbonne. I spend holidays back in Australia, and most of my free-time in between taking in as much of the city as I can. For students interested in language classes or assistance for subjects other than those listed, I offer additional services on inquiry. I look forward to working with you soon :)
