Hi, I’m Samuel - I first started tutoring in 2017 to pass on study skills that worked for me, and quickly learned that attitude is equally important to success.
For background, I graduated high school in 2019 with an equivalent 98 ATAR including very high achievements in English and English Extension, and the Top of French award.
I work with students on the foundational study skills, relevant subject material, requirements to meet and exceed marking criteria, and make my classes more dynamic by assisting students to align their interests with the subjects they are studying.
You will see from our initial session I aim to build a strong rapport, fostering an environment that encourages growth, rewards curiosity, and promotes a love of learning.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the subjects I studied, personal challenges in my final years of schooling made it incredibly difficult to find the motivation to study. Regardless of whether you are in a similar situation, I want to help guide you in your studies and enable you to achieve to the best of your abilities.
Before starting University, I built on my existing experience as a tutor in English, foreign languages, and social sciences. This included roles in several prominent schools, and as part of Duolingo’s language classes platform. Today, I tutor from primary up to a second year undergraduate level, and continue to tailor my assistance to students’ individual needs.
I have recently graduated university, and come back for holidays in Australia as often as possible.
