Hi, my name is Kelvin and I am a third year UQ Doctor of Medicine student. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2021 and as the Dux of All Saints Anglican School in 2018. I have been awarded a UQ Excellence Scholarship and maintained a high academic standard throughout university, receiving the Dean's Commendation of Academic Excellence in both of my first two years in medicine. As a tutor, I have been teaching maths (methods and specialist) for 5 years - during this time, I have learnt how to teach a diverse range of students with different needs. This includes being able to communicate at different levels and focusing on different areas so that each student can get as much as possible out of these sessions. In addition to helping my students understand the areas that they struggle on, I like to take an active approach in offering advice about how they can manage their study between sessions and prepare for exams more effectively.
