About
Maths is my passion and to help others understand it is my goal. With over 8 years experience in the tutoring space I have had the chance to grow with my students on their journey in understanding and appreciating Mathematics.
I am University Graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics). My choice for studying this was because I loved Maths in high school. My teachers, tutors and mentors in high school made all the difference in my education and it is my goal to do that for others. I received top band in both Mathematics Extension II and Mathematics Extension I. In studying Mathematics at university I believe I have bettered my knowledge on the subject.
I have tutored both high school and primary school children in the past. My approach to tutoring is dependent on the learning style of the student. My main approach to tutoring would involve bringing worksheets for requested areas in the subject and then helping the student through the sheets. I would also be happy to help them with their homework from school and if their schedule permits I would provide homework or worksheets for them to do in their own time as I believe in a subject like Mathematics it is essential to attempt as many questions as possible. I also have many textbooks I myself used in my final years of school, and I would like to make use of these by helping other HSC students.
I am able to tutor students specifically in Mathematics Extension Two, Mathematics Extension, Mathematics or High School Maths.
In terms of location for tutoring, I am open to meeting at a place which suits both the student and myself. As this is my passion, my time will be devoted to helping the student succeed. I will be willing to help them over the phone if need be. I believe a good education is important for all.

Tanya tutored my daughter from years 9-12 and she has been able to help my daughter understand difficult maths concepts. She is extremely patient and is always willing to help in every way possible. Could not have higher regard for Tanya!
