About

Hi! I am currently working full-time within the department of defence, and have completed Biomedical degrees University of Western Australia, specialising in Pharmacology and Pathology & Laboratory medicine as a double major. Throughout my full-time, university and high school life, my friends often sought me out for advice or help with their subjects, especially with Research, English, Human Biology and Chemistry. I was ranked #1 in human bio and achieved excellence rank among my cohort of 350. I Teach: - Advanced scientific research writing (university level) - English ATAR - Essay writing, persuasive texts, grammar and punctuation - Music (beginner's guitar) - Note taking, knowledge & memory - Scientific writing (scientific reports, experimental reports) My Values - I believe that proper tutoring should not force an unhealthy habit for the student that makes them dependent on the tutor. My goal is to teach them how to grow their own wings, and study in their own manner which benefits them by giving them assistance with things they do not understand, teaching them how to maintain their study and retain vital information and setting them up for life. - As a person who was not happy with how they studied themselves, I used various methods in note-taking to see which one works for me. On top of teaching the subject, I believe that focusing on these aspects will help with giving the student an edge. - I undertook a 2-month student teacher exchange in South Korea to challenge myself in this belief. Teaching a whole class in Sookmyung University as a guest in the aspects of sustainability, first aid and the importance of leadership and using different forms of education to teach different people, I opened up student's eyes into how valuable different forms of retaining information is fundamental and extremely useful. On top of this, I also taught English and language to the school. English ATAR is also something I enjoy. I specialised in essay writing and persuasive text, and was able to use this to my advantage when teaching in Korea, while also assisting my university friends in how to write a compelling, powerful piece of text. Although Human Biology was my speciality, English ATAR was my highest scoring WACE subject with an average mark of 80%. I am a engaging, passionate and hardworking individual who likes to not just help people in the short term, but for the distant future. it is my goal to ensure that students receive the best possible tutoring experience that is self-sustaining.
