I am a second year university student studying engineering at Monash University, specialising in mechatronics (to describe it in a word, robotics). I was born and raised in Darwin, and I enjoy sports, the outdoors and photography. I completed year 12 in 2017, then took a gap year, during which I was a tutor at a local high school. I moved to Melbourne in 2018 to begin my studies, but I have since returned to Darwin due to corona virus and I will be here until the end of semester 1. However, I am able to continue tutoring via video call if that suits.
I have lots of experience tutoring high school students, having spent the better part of year working as a high school tutor in Darwin. I tutored students in years 10-12, and worked with students with learning difficulties. I am open to tutoring students at all abilities.
My favourite subjects are maths and physics; I love the challenge of solving problems and finding creative solutions. As a tutor, I strive to help students gain an in-depth understanding of the content by:
- Explaining concepts in engaging ways
- Connecting to real-life applications
- Working through example problems step-by-step
I can also provide useful study tips for exam revision, and help with report writing.
