Hi! My name is Faith and as a tutor, I hope to encourage students of all ages to make the most out of their high school education.
In my years of tutoring experience, I have found that the most effective and rewarding tutoring strategy involves helping students grow confident in their own abilities, and motivating them as best I can. This will guide them towards steady and continual improvement beyond high school. Thus, in addition to tailored explanations and activities, I strive to bring positivity, cultivate good study habits and foster self discipline in each session.
I have a solid understanding of the expectations of the Year 11 and 12 ATAR Physics, Chemistry, Human Biology, English, Math Methods, and French courses. I have also assisted students with university applications, and am happy to offer advice on different courses or career pathways. In addition, I tutor a wide variety of subjects for those in Years 7-10, particularly English and Maths.
Having tutored students from a variety of backgrounds, I endeavour to be flexible and attentive to your/your child's needs, and am happy to further discuss with you the different teaching strategies I use.
Currently, I am available on weekends and evenings for in-home or online tutoring.
I love to work with young people in various capacities (e.g. as a youth leader, mentor and tutor) and hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
